We’ve been hard at work at Fisherprint TLC HQ refurbishing our reception area, main office and boardroom. As part of the refurb we wanted to include an installation on a previously blank wall in our board room which would highlight our printing, signage and installation expertise and provide the wow factor to visitors. With the help of our friends at Brookes & Sowerby, we decided on a concept which involved using a printing block effect for letters to spell out statements and content that reflect our ethos and capabilities. How did we do it? The wall was first painted to provide a blank canvas for the letters to sit on. The next stage was to create a digital mock-up of the wall lettering and to pass this on to our production team who set to work bringing the idea to life. The installation was created using Foamex board in various depths to give a 3D effect and to enable key messages to be emphasised. Some were printed direct to media on the Anapurna whilst others had special effect textured laminated vinyl applied to the front surface to give variation to the overall wall. The smaller text was vinyl applied direct to the wall. All the individual letters were then cut on the summa router. Ahead of installation in the boardroom, an installation plan was printed on a paper template which was applied to the wall as a guide. Letters were then applied using special bonding tape – giving a seamless fixing-free view. A boardroom beyond expectations We think the finished result looks great and really captures our ethos of going beyond expectations to deliver exceptional print and signage solutions to our customers. Make sure to look out for it the next time you’re visiting us!
